Install Extension Manager 1.7

Extension Manager 1.7 includes support for the new Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8, and Flash 8 releases—many new features have been added to support extensibility within the new Studio 8 suite of products. We recommend that users download and install version 1.7 of the Extension Manager.

Extension Manager 1.7 is also available in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.

System Requirements

The Extension Manager requires Mac OS X 10.2.6 or Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 with 6 MB additional hard drive space, 10 MB additional RAM, and at least one of the following products:

  • Dreamweaver 8 or Dreamweaver MX 2004
  • Flash Professional 8, Flash Basic 8, Flash MX Professional 2004 or Flash MX 2004
  • Fireworks 8 or Fireworks MX 2004

  1. Download the Extension Manager

    • Download the Extension Manager installer and save it on your machine.
    • Double-click the installer to begin the installation process.

      • Extension Manager 1.7 for Windows(EXE, 4.96 MB)
      • Extension Manager 1.7 for Macintosh(DMG, 1.11 MB)
  2. Return to Adobe.com to Download Extensions

    • Once you have the Adobe Extension Manager installed, return to the Adobe Exchange and download extensions. Go to the Dreamweaver Exchange, Fireworks Exchange or Flash Exchange.
    • Each extension has its own page that includes the download links, a short description, user ratings and reviews, and a link to the respective online discussion forum where you can post questions and get support for that extension.
    • Once the Extension Manager is installed, you can access it directly from the supported product menus by choosing Help > Manage Extensions.
